The first step to removing the headphone jack from your iPad is to take out all of the screws on the exterior. Most likely you will only have around 5-7 screws, but in some cases there may be more or less.
Now that the screws are out, carefully pry off the back cover with a sturdy tool such as the iSesamo opening tool. Be very careful not to damage the rest of your device while prying off the cover, as this will leave visible damage.Once the back panel has been removed, take out any screws that are holding down the headphone jack and remove it completely.Also take out any other pieces that are in the way of installing a new headphone jack. As the last step, simply take out the parts that are in your way of fitting the new headphone jack and fit it into the spot where you removed them from.
Voila! You now have successfully removed the headphone jack from your iPad! Now all you have to do is install a new one and it will be good as new!
